It’s so crazy that we are on the verge of Carter’s first birthday. This is the last monthly entry before he turns a year old! How did that happen??!! Slow the train down, little baby engine!
Here are his updates:
The top two teeth finally broke through! He now has a total of 4 chompers to aide in his eating adventures. They came in right on the heels of each other. They look HUGE but they are still hidden underneath his top lip and you can't see them yet when he smiles. It's going to change the look of his face so dramatically when they do come in!

His cruising has really improved and Bryson even saw him take
a semi-step or two after letting go of his arms while standing… but 1) I didn’t
see it and 2) it hasn’t happened again so we’re not considering it official
walking just yet. His balance is impeccable. He can hold on with one hand on
the coffee table, squat down to pick up a toy and then come back up without
breaking a sweat or toppling over. He’s putting those thighs to good use!
His personality is really blossoming. He’s playful and
silly. He flirts and grins. He loves to be chased and speeds up when you are
close. His newest trick is to put the back of his hand over his mouth and move
it back and forth as he’s making sound so it changes the pitch. He’s saying nana and baba and mama and dada
interchangeably. He smiles ear to ear when you wake him up in the
morning or when you walk into a room. Very very sweet.
One more month of a being a baby (well really one more week because I am posting a month behind, but who's keeping track, huh??)… then he is a one year
old!
