Ellington - 7 Months

What a busy 30 days we had before turning 7 months old! We were on the move for most of the time and we are very lucky that E is such a flexible, easy going, adaptable baby. We started with a very special Mother's Day... the first one I'll ever celebrate with a daughter! Still surreal in many ways. Spent the evening at Fearrington Village listening to their live music and eating pizza at Roost. Then it was off to a girl's weekend in D.C. at Mary's house where E got to meet Lawson, Katie, and Annie for the first time. She got to hang with Finn for the second time and meet Rose for the first time! And she even got to swing in a big girl swing with Aunt Kelsie. Then it was up to Charlottesville to spend more time with Lawson and meet her family Sean, Coleman, and Jack. Got a little pool time in which she LOVES! Then it was down to Charleston for a week with Nene and Pops. Action packed but all so much fun! This girl lives the good life. Being passed from person to person, all of whom love and adore her. Milestones this month included FOOD, more and more of it. She's really getting the hang of using her pincers to pick up some tiny pieces. She's tried more veggies and fruits than I can count and even dabbled in some meat products. YUM! She finally mastered rolling from her back to her tummy and now spends a lot of time rolling over and over and over again on the floor until something gets in her way. Interestingly enough, she has transitioned into a tummy sleeper! Rolled over to her tummy during her sleep for the first time in Charleston and despite rolling her back over a few times, she kept on rolling back. So we gave up and now flipping from her back to her tummy is the first thing she does when she gets into the crib. And she sleeps like that all night! She had her first visit to the beach in Charleston and looked as cute as ever in the salt air. Love sweet baby E! Such a happy, sweet baby. We are beyond lucky to have her.
