We did something we never thought we'd do. We bought our Christmas tree this year... the weekend before Thanksgiving! Since we are headed to Richmond for Thanksgiving and all of my buddies are coming to Durham for a reunion the following weekend, we went ahead and knocked it out! And even though I'm worried the tree won't last through Christmas, the experience ended up being so lovely that we may consider doing it again. There was almost no one was at the tree farm, we had the pick of the litter tree selection, we got the bounce house to ourselves, and the checkout was a breeze.
The rows and rows of evergreens formed such a unique and festive backdrop (and the boys looked so cute all bundled up!), I couldn't stop taking pictures. Here are a few of my favorites.
