Here's the skinny on our fat man this month:
Still no teeth. He's trying SO hard to get them, but no luck.
Sitting up like a champ! He loves when we create a "fun zone" on the ground with all of his favorite things within reach and the boppy behind him for support. He takes each toy, inspects it, and immediately brings it to his mouth.
Great hand-eye coordination. When we put him in the bumbo on the kitchen table his arms start flailing around like a bird until he eventually makes contact with something (usually a glass of wine). Sometimes I catch him holding up his chubby little baseball mits of hands, slowly twisting his wrists back and forth and almost going cross-eyed examining them. He's so curious in how everything works! Great foot-mouth coordination too.
Eating solids like a boss. He loves everything - except green veggies. The look on his face when you try to sneak in a bite of peas or green beans is priceless. He's like "I may be a chunk, but I won't eat that."
Talking more and more. And by talking we mean using every muscle in his little being to push sounds out of his mouth. They are long and exaggerated and seem to take a great deal of effort. He almost sighs when he's done like "Whew! This is hard work!" Smiles all the time too.
LOVES his big bro. Smiles and laughs at him all the time. And it's really reciprocated. Brooks is always talking to him and interested in what he's doing. "Hi Meatball!" "What are you doing, Carter?" "Hi little buddy." "You want the ball, baby Carter?" I love thinking about what great buddies they are going to be soon enough! This pic is one of my favorites!!
