A Kniola Family Thanksgiving

NeNe, Pops, and Aunt Winnie all made their way down south for our Turkey Day festivities this year. It was a low key weekend with lots of good eating, some napping, a few outdoor adventures, and many successful trips to the Lightning McQueen potty (for Brooks of course!).  We even purchased and decorated our Christmas tree by the end of the weekend!  What more could you want from a Thanksgiving holiday?

It was a gorgeous day on Saturday so we took an expedition through Surrey Green.  We simply could not believe our good luck when we stumbled upon a Durham Fire Truck that was parked out front one of the houses showing some kids the inside. We totally crashed the party and got our own private tour! Brooks was in awe.

Everyone looks cute but me.

On Sunday, we ventured out to the Jordan Lake Christmas Tree Farm which was an adorable family owned tree farm. They had hot mini donuts, cider, and a bounce house. It was a huge hit and we will definitely be returning next year.

Meatball and Aunt Win.  Snug as bugs.
Can you spot Carter?

This was supposed to be a family shot... but Brooks ran away.

Pretty Nene and the buddha baby.

We returned home just in time to hit the potty...

 And take a nap...

And then woke up feeling refreshed enough to trim the tree!

Brooks being a great helper with the non-breakables.

A cozy happy weekend with a few of my favorite people.
