Brooks started school this past Tuesday and it's off to a bang! He comes home happy as a clam, bursting with information about his day. His teachers are Mrs. Carrow and Mrs. Dahlgren. His class is called the Sunshine Class and it's definitely a bright, cheery place to spend the day. Emmy and Breeze are in his class, but he's made a ton of new friends already like Finn, Garrett, Andrew, and Isaac. It's so cute to hear him talk about their day - going to the gymnasium to run around "super fast," playing cars and trucks with the boys in the classroom, saying "uno, dos, tres" in Spanish class, making fruit kabobs in cooking class. It's all so fun! The other day he came home singing a song over and over again that he said "he just cannot get out of his head" that goes - "It's so cool! I'm in school! It's Pre-K!!!!" Well Brooks, it IS so cool and we are so happy and proud that you are off to such a great start.
It felt like a long time ago when we were navigating the admissions process, doing our individual and group assessments at the various schools, worrying about whether he'd get in, and where he'd end up. We feel so grateful that it seems to have worked out in a wonderful way, and we are filled with hope and promise about what the next several years will entail. Class of 2030, the journey has just begun!!
