Holiday Happenings

Lots of fun getting ready for Christmas this year! Here is our whirlwind December through pictures. As always, it flew by... but not without a lot of festive cheer and glad tidings.

First things first...
We needed to find the perfect tree.
Next up, we needed to decorate said tree.
Both boys actually got into helping this year!
A new addition to the tree this year... an electric train. Huge hit!
Kringle came back for lots of fun!
And so did all our singing stuffed toys.
And so did our Christmas jammies!
As well as our Santa hats, which we wore at breakfast.
And speaking of Santa... we met him! On the Santa train ride...
And up at the club too.
Carter was not a fan.

We went caroling at HVCC and both boys had pageants.
We made Christmas cookies!

We even somehow managed to squeeze in a trip to the Greenbrier. C ice skated!
And there was magic around every corner.

We went to church at Chapel of the Cross.
Boys really enjoyed the pageant service.
Then we left Santa this note.
Cozied up and read Twas' the Night Before Christmas.
Tracked Santa on NORAD.
And woke up to a bounty of presents!
Which we spent the morning happily opening.
Yay for Santa!

But that wasn't all. We drove to Richmond where a bounce house awaited us!

And a super cool new construction vehicle!

Boys couldn't believe we were opening MORE presents.

Dad put together an epic model train track on the ping pong table!

Winston got tuckered out from all the activity.

Gigi got us a van to see Christmas lights around town!

Whew!! What a month!

The boys had what could only be described as a magical season. I love that we're creating family traditions and memories that they will look back on with the same warmth and nostalgia that I have from my childhood. Though Mom and Dad are tired, we had so much fun being kids again and creating the memories!
