Carter - 10 Months

Carter's 10th month was an eventful one. He learned 3 new tricks!! Waving bye bye. Clapping. And "Sooooo big!" All the essentials... in one month! Go C!

He also appears like he's going to walk at any given moment. Cruising around the table at full speed, switching from couch to table and back again, holding on with one hand effortlessly as he bends down to pick up toys and comes back up again, and... we've only seen it a few times... but standing unassisted!

He's babbling a lot more now and has really taken to screaming at the top of his lungs when he's particularly frustrated. He clenches his little fists and shakes his head back and forth when he does it for added dramatic effect.

He refuses to stay on his back for a diaper change and needs to be either completely pinned down or heavily distracted by songs and silly faces and toys that light up.

He seems like he's going to be a climber. He barrels down the one tiny step into the gallery like it's no big deal and I've caught him trying to climb up the book shelf in the living room on many occasions. I swear he'd just catapult off the bed too if we let him. He has no fear and an an insatiable need for exploration.

His favorite activity is to throw himself into the pillows on the bed and rolling around like a maniac, wrestling with himself and the blanket, giggling with pure glee. Brooks is happy to join in the fun.

He's still got the sweetest little temperament, smiles all the time, and delights in the little things.

Bryson and I find ourselves constantly saying, "Man, I love that chunky little meatball!" Especially when he looks like this.
